Cycling
The local cycle route 2065 Vojtanov–Hazlov–Polná is 9 kilometres long, or 14 kilometres with detours, and is suitable for cross bikes and trekking bikes. Local cycle route 2064 is suitable for all types of bicycles. A branch leads from this route at the golfers’ clubhouse to the U Cihelny nature monument.
Culture and History
The castle complex of Hazlov is located in the heart of the town. The Church of the Elevation of the Holy Cross is the dominant building in the castle complex. Its nave was built between 1687 and 1688 between the Romanesque tower and the western Gothic palace.
The ruins of a castle that was converted into a chateau are designated in Hazlov as a protected cultural monument of the Czech Republic. A monument to those who fell in the First World War stands on Calvary Hill above Hazlov. Hazlovský pěšák is an event in Hazlov organised by Pivní skauti Hazlov. Catholic services are regularly held in the Roman Catholic church in Hazlov.
Nature
The U Cihelny nature monument is located in the valley of the Hazlovský potok and features a rare occurrence of brown vesuvianite. The mineral deposit near U Cihelny is considered unique of its kind throughout Europe and is protected as a nature monument.
Hazlov is connected to public transport by regular bus and train services.
