Mezimestí: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Meziměstí combines distinctive landscapes and trails with a remarkable railway history. Within the town lies Ruprechtický Špičák: the 880 m-high mountain has a lookout tower and is the highest point in the Náchod region. AQA LAND provides visitors with opportunities for recreation, swimming, sports and relaxation. A valid day ticket or personalised season ticket is required for admission to AQA LAND.

Hiking and Landscape

The marked Okolo Meziměstí circular trail is 15.7 km long and of moderate difficulty. It starts in the town square on red- and blue-marked trails and crosses a railway crossing.

More demanding is the Vyhlídková hřebenovka po Javořích horách ridge trail. It starts at Meziměstí railway station and leads as a challenging hike from Meziměstí via Vižňov to the ridge of the Javoří Mountains. In Vižňov, a district of Meziměstí, the Po stopách rodiny Walzelů educational trail has also been established.

Culture and History

The Baroque Church of St Anne in Vižňov, a district of Meziměstí, belongs to the so-called Broumov group of churches and has been protected as a national cultural monument since 1 July 2022. The present-day Křížová cesta Vlasty Hampla features cast-iron panels from the late 19th century, mounted on wooden stands.

Meziměstí railway station is also a technically significant historical object. The building of ČD Meziměstí railway station on Line 026 was constructed in 1875 in connection with the construction of the Choceň–Meziměstí–state border and Meziměstí–Broumov–state border railway lines near Otovice. The Meziměstí Railway Museum presents visitors with the history and circumstances surrounding the construction of the Choceň–Meziměstí railway line.

Centrum Walzel is located in the building of the former textile factory of Josef Walzel and Sons in Meziměstí. The former textile factory was transformed into the multifunctional commercial and entertainment centre Centrum Walzel.
