Jetřichov: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

The Laudon Chapel stands on a low hill above Jetřichov in the Broumovská kotlina basin. Its access path offers views of the mountains surrounding the Broumovsko region, and the chapel is dedicated to the Holy Trinity.

Chapel and Trails

A red-marked hiking trail from the direction of Broumov leads to the Laudon Chapel. The Cesta Rájem hiking trail leads to the remains of the 18th-century chapel above Jetřichov and then descends to Jetřichov along a field path. Along this route, the Broumov–Meziměstí main road is crossed; the route then continues to the upper end of Jetřichov.

Landscape and Water

Jetřichov lies in the Broumov Highlands geomorphological unit. The entire municipal area belongs to the Broumovsko Protected Landscape Area (CHKO Broumovsko). The Stěnava River flows through the northern part of Jetřichov; its right-bank tributary, the Jetřichovský potok, forms the axis of the municipality.

Culture and Architectural History

Farm complex No. 56 is the only registered immovable cultural monument in Jetřichov. It comprises a residential building, a gate, a shed, a barn, a dower house, and a bridge with a statue. The site known as Bělidlo originated as a farmstead; a small dye works was later established there. The surviving agricultural buildings of farm complex No. 56 were built towards the end of the 18th century and later adapted for various purposes.

Geology

The Jetřichovský písník is an exposure of weathered Triassic sandstone in a sand quarry near Jetřichov. It features a constant alternation of sandstone layers and layers of reddish lake iron ore. As sand extraction is still ongoing there, excursion and study visits must be arranged with the quarry operator.
