Senice: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Senice’s history dates back to the 13th century. The first mentions from this period refer to a fortified manor and settlement founded on the shore of Vyhlíd Pond.

History

The historic Polská cesta was a more recent northern variant of the long-distance route to Kłodzko and onward to Poland. It ran between Senice, Úmyslovice and Velenice, between vanished ponds; fragments of the route have been preserved.

The theatre and, in particular, puppet theatre artist Jaroslav Koloděj lived and worked in Senice for many years.

Pond Landscape

Blato was the largest pond in Senice’s historic pond system and was one third larger than Rožmberk Pond.
