Ptýrov: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

Ptýrov is associated with the Skalní sruby Jizery rock formations, the Baroque Valdštejn hunting lodge located in the cadastral area, the Greenway Jizera cycle route and Farma Ptýrov, which serves as an equestrian centre. The Skalní sruby Jizery feature significant rock walls and two lateral niches created by the lateral erosion of the Jizera; below them lies the Jizera's most geomorphologically prominent pseudokarst niche.

Nature

The Maníkovické duby are also among the notable natural attractions: they are a group of striking pedunculate oaks in Maníkovice. Lysá, a mountain with its own name, is also located near Ptýrov. The mountains Velká Buková and Malá Buková are situated in the wider regional area. The Kalvárka hill [Bakov nad Jizerou-Horka] lies in the vicinity of Ptýrov.

Access to the Skalní sruby Jizery can be very difficult during the growing season.

Culture and history

The Baroque Valdštejn hunting lodge is located in Maníkovice, in the cadastral area of Ptýrov. It was built in 1711 and is protected as a cultural monument. In Ptýrov itself, the chapel was renovated in 1992 and consecrated at a ceremony on 11 July.

Cycling and equestrian sports

The signposted Greenway Jizera cycle route leads from Mnichovo Hradiště past the Ptýrov weir and onwards to Veselá and Lhotice.

Farma Ptýrov is an equestrian centre with two outdoor riding arenas, an indoor arena, a lungeing ring and a horse carousel. It is also associated with national and international show-jumping tournaments, national championships, Hubertus rides and events for children.

Cuisine

The Farma Ptýrov restaurant specialises in modern Czech cuisine. It also serves steaks and international specialities.
