The origins of the Polabské národopisné muzeum Přerov nad Labem date back to 1895.

Culture and History

In the open-air museum, the former manor cooperage includes an old village school and houses ethnographic exhibitions. The open-air museum also hosts traditional Easter exhibitions and Christmas exhibitions with an accompanying programme.

The Church of Saint Adalbert in Přerov nad Labem was built in the Baroque style in 1681–1682. From May to October, services are held there on Saturdays at 10:00 a.m. The Chapel of Saint Adalbert was built at the beginning of the 19th century in the fields on the boundary between Přerov nad Labem and Mochov; beneath the chapel is a vaulted spring.

At the site of the château in Přerov nad Labem, a water fortress has been documented since the mid-13th century; Renaissance and Baroque alterations followed later. The Renaissance château is surrounded by a moat crossed by a stone bridge. The Baroque Chapel of the Most Holy Trinity is located near the Renaissance château.

The Muzeum Moto & Velo displays a 1905 Laurin-&-Klement motorcycle, model L80, with a sidecar in its original preserved condition.

Nature

The Polabské hůry Natural Monument protects semi-natural dry grasslands and extensively mown meadows in the lowlands and foothills. Přerovská hůra is one of the three sections of this natural monument. On Přerovská hůra there are abandoned small marl quarries with limestone layers or limestone concretions.

Přerovská hůra can be reached via a walkable tourist trail that continues for more than 250 m from the road.
