Roztoky: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Archevita is a multimedia archaeological exhibition in Roztoky that allows visitors to immerse themselves in prehistory. It features true-to-scale reconstructions of prehistoric dwellings, archaeological finds and reconstructed burial structures. Holographic projections, video mapping and interactive educational materials at information kiosks complement the exhibition.

Culture

The Ateliér Zdenky Braunerové exhibition is accessible exclusively with a guided tour from April to October, from Wednesday to Sunday. It presents restored doors, shutters and wooden-beamed ceilings in their original colours and surface treatments and includes a collection of more than seventy paintings by Zdenka Braunerová.

The Život v letovisku exhibition presents contemporary and historical furnishings, home accessories, tableware and examples of historical fashion, often originating from the villas of Roztoky.

History

Roztocké Tiché údolí is considered, chronologically, the oldest place of its kind as a villa resort. Villas for summer stays were already being built there after 1851.

Nature

The Roztocký háj – Tiché údolí educational trail runs through the nature reserves. The Levý Hradec educational trail is 800 metres long and has eight stations.

The Paměť města project in Roztoky uses QR codes, historical photographs and a mobile app with audio content to support a self-guided tour.
