Nature and Culture

Číčovický kamýk is a silicate rock knoll of geomorphological significance and a paleontological site. It lies south of Číčovice above the Church of St. Lawrence, which dates back to a Romanesque sacred site from the 12th century. The church was rebuilt in 1764 and 1905; a chapel dedicated to St. Florian from the 18th century stands in the cemetery adjoining it. Gothic wall paintings were discovered in the Church of St. Lawrence in 1901.

History

In Malé Číčovice stands the Chapel of the Holy Cross, an octagonal Baroque building constructed in 1711–1714 and restored in 1908–1909. Kalingrův mlýn is one of the historical sights of Číčovice and dates from 1752.
