Milešov: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

At the northern end of the Orlík Reservoir, Popelíky campsite is located directly above the dam. There is a harbor right next to the campsite where the Orlická lodní doprava boats dock. Popelíky also has a grassy beach in a bay with sandy, gently sloping access to the water.

Water

Trhovky campsite has a 200-meter-long beach with good access to the water. Tennis courts, a beach volleyball court, and squash facilities are located nearby.

History and Culture

The building known in Milešov as “Zámeček” was built by Emanuel Kittl. The discovery of antimony ore in Milešov is associated with the period after the mid-19th century; in 1871, he acquired the Milešov antimony mines. Ema Destinnová grew up in Milešov.

The historic site “Lety u Písku. Memorial to the Holocaust of Roma and Sinti in Bohemia” is located in the vicinity of Milešov. The wider regional surroundings include Zvíkov Castle as well as the churches of Saint John and Saint Anne.
