Malíkovice: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Malíkovice and the associated settlements of Čanovice and Hvězda are part of the Džbán Nature Park. This is an extensive area of considerable natural and landscape value.

Nature

Malíkovická stráň borders the southern edge of Malíkovice. The Červené dolíky area covers the cadastral territory of Malíkovice and protects the lady’s-slipper orchid (Cypripedium calceolus). Malíkovická stráň is also a site where this orchid species grows.

East of Malíkovice stands a 400-year-old pedunculate oak. Pozdeňský les [Mšec] hill is located in the vicinity of Malíkovice, while Loustín hill is in the surrounding area. The Boušov and Tuchonín hills are located in the wider regional surroundings of Malíkovice.

History

The All Saints’ Church in Malíkovice was already a parish church in 1384. A sacristy was added to the church in 1826. The former Malíkovice fortress was first mentioned in 1418. After Malíkovice ceased to be a noble residence, the former fortress was gradually adapted for agricultural purposes. It is designated as an area with archaeological finds.

Local Life

The revitalized carp pond in Malíkovice, which was dredged between 2013 and 2014, is used by locals and tourists, especially during the summer months. Rozloučení s prázdninami is considered a traditional event featuring outdoor entertainment and a gathering with celebrants.
