Kondrac combines historical cultural attractions with trails through the countryside around Blaník.

Culture and History

The Church of St. Bartholomew in Kondrac was originally a Romanesque building dating from after 1200. The presbytery and sacristy date from around 1380, and the church was rebuilt in 1735. The Church of St. Bartholomew complex is a state-protected immovable cultural monument.

The Farní muzeum Kondrac comprises three exhibitions. The main exhibition presents the life of the rural clergy around the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. An exhibition in the former mortuary of the Farní muzeum Kondrac explores the history of the Church of St. Bartholomew.

Countryside

The southern part of the municipality of Kondrac lies within the designated Blaník Protected Landscape Area, a large protected area. The educational trail “Kondrac–Krasovice–Foothills of Blaník” passes through a picturesque landscape interspersed with a system of ponds.

Educational Trails

The “In the Footsteps of the Blaník Knights” educational trail runs for 2 kilometres from Kondrac via Krasovice to the foot of Velký Blaník. At four stations, it provides information about the history of the individual places as well as a series of legends about the Blaník Knights.

The “Kondrac–Krasovice–Foothills of Blaník” educational trail is 2.5 kilometres long and runs from the village square in Kondrac to the foot of Blaník. It has four stations. The Blaník Nature House offers playful elements for children. The “A Year in the Village” educational trail is accessible year-round.
