The local character of Jíloviště includes a public sports complex with a workout area, children’s playground, pump track, an artificial playing field for small-sided football and tennis, a circular path, parking spaces, and a grass area. The complex is freely accessible; admission to the artificial multi-purpose playing field is subject to a fee, which can be paid via the municipality’s online payment system. It is open from April to October and may also be open in winter when conditions are favourable.
Sports and Events
The Zbraslav–Jíloviště hill climb is now continued as a two-day gathering of historic vehicles. At the Zbraslav–Jíloviště gathering, spectators can enjoy vehicle exhibitions, practice and competitive hill-climb runs, an orienteering drive, and a convivial evening with music; admission is free.
History
Jíloviště was situated along one of the main roads of the Kingdom of Bohemia, the historic Golden Road, travelled by merchants, marching armies, and processions. Route 4, “Along the Royal Trail”, starts at the intersection by the Jíloviště municipal office and follows the red-marked cycle path towards Černolice.
Nature and Trails
Jíloviště is considered one of the starting points for tourism in the Podbrdsko region. The hike from Jíloviště via the Černolice Rocks is mostly flat and leads through a natural environment. It can be extended along an 11-kilometre route to Všenory or continued for 17 kilometres to Dobřichovice.
Vršky Hill [Klínec] and Babka Hill [Černošice] are located in the vicinity of Jíloviště. Mount Doutnáč is located near Jíloviště, while Karlštejn Castle is also in the vicinity. In the wider regional surroundings of Jíloviště are Palác Kinských, The Golz-Kinsky Palace, the Galerie Rudolfinum Museum, and Veslařský ostrov Island.
Culture
A Catholic Mass is scheduled for May 2026 in the Chapel-Belfry of St. Florian in Jíloviště.
