Jedomělice lies on the edge of the Džbán Nature Park and at the source of the Byseňský potok stream. Between the natural monument, forests and traces of history, the village reveals itself as a place where landscape and local history are closely intertwined.

The surrounding forests of Jedomělice are home to white dittany. The Ostrov u Jedomělic Natural Monument protects a population of white dittany and other warmth-loving plant species.
Pozdeňský les [Mšec] mountain is located in the vicinity of Jedomělice. The Boušov and Loustín mountains are located near Jedomělice. The Džbán mountain is also located in the wider regional area.
History
Jedomělice was first mentioned in written records in 1316. The original historic village centre consists of farmsteads grouped around a widened village road.
In 1413, it was mentioned that part of what was then Dědomilice belonged to the Ostrov fortress complex. The Ostrov fortress site is separated from the farmyard by a ditch.
The wider regional area around Jedomělice includes the Pravda Ruins, Hazmburk Ruins, Ostrov Castle and Hrádek Ruins.
Cycling Routes
A 9 km cycling route leads from Pozdeň via Jedomělice to Hájovna and onwards to Dubový rybník before returning to Pozdeň. The 9 km cycling route runs along roads and a forest track.
A 17 km cycling route leads from Jedomělice via Lotouš, Neprobylice, Kutrovice, Kvílice, Plchov and Pozdeň and runs along field and forest tracks.
