Ješetice is situated in rugged terrain along the Mastník stream, in the region known as Česká Sibiř. Winters there are harsher and longer than in other parts of Bohemia.

Nature and landscape

In the wider regional surroundings of Ješetice are Javorová Skála and Žebrák; both are mountains. Smrčí is a mountain in the vicinity of Ješetice. Hejlový [Miličín] is a hill nearby.

Cycling route

The blue cycling route through Český Merán passes behind Ješetice below Deboreč (598 m above sea level) and continues around Ješetický pilský rybník to Horní Borek.

Culture and history

Ješetice may have originated in the 12th century. A cross below the railway line dates from 1894. At the Skanzen Vysoký Chlumec open-air museum, guided tour A, lasting 60 minutes, also includes a residential building from Řikov.

Konopiště, a château, is located in the wider regional surroundings of Ješetice. The churches of Svatá Anna, Loreta and Svatý Jan are also situated there.

There is a scheduled bus stop near Ješetice railway station.
