The parish church of Saint Nicholas stands on a large rock in the middle of Ostrvica. It was built in 1452 and has a pointed-arch Gothic vault.

Culture

South of Ostrvica lies the Church of Saint Anthony. It was built in 1708 from hewn stone; its façade features an octagonal stone rose window. The Church of Saint Roch was built in 1920 from finely hewn stone on the ruins of an older church. As a votive church, it is dedicated to Saint Roch, who is regarded as a protector against epidemic diseases.

History

The Krcatovići–Miri site is associated with a fortified building complex from Late Antiquity, dated to the 5th and 6th centuries.

Nature and Trails

The Illyrian River Trail begins in Donja Ostrvica and runs largely parallel to the Cetina, about 100 metres above the riverbank. An eastern section towards Gata is a 2.5-kilometre ecological circular trail with an educational focus.

The St. Leopold Mandić Trail ends at the Late Antique building in Ostrvica.
