Gradac: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Nature and Trails

A well-maintained hiking trail leads to the Vrisje viewpoint and is considered an introduction to hiking. A sport climbing area is located at the beginning of this trail. In addition, G1 is a one-hour mountaineering route from Gradac to Vrisje.

Culture and History

The permanent exhibition of the Gradac Heritage Collection includes fishing equipment, an old Dalmatian kitchen, an old captain's room, a carpenter's workshop, musical instruments and a lapidarium. The collection is located in the town centre; parking is available nearby, and guided tours are also offered.

The Roman civitas of Biston existed on the site of Gradac. Roman coins and part of a monumental structure dating from the 2nd to 3rd century were found in the area of Gradina.

The Chapel of Saint Paškvalina on Plana Hill is one of the oldest surviving buildings in the Gradac area. The Church of Saint Michael in Gradac was built in 1852.

Gradac is the main tourist and administrative centre in a coastal tourism area with four settlements, extending along approximately 15 kilometres of coastline. The wider tourism area of Gradac comprises the coastal settlements of Zaostrog, Podaca, Brist and Gradac along approximately 15 kilometres of coastline.
