Culture
In the vicinity of Majkusi, the Church of St. John the Baptist and its cemetery stand on the remains of a prehistoric hillfort and a Roman rural building with a water reservoir. The church was built in the 16th century on the site of an earlier church. It stands in the centre of Sveti Ivan od Šterne; the settlement is located on the local road to Majkusi. Traditionally, Sveti Ivan od Šterne celebrates Ivanja, the feast of St. John the Baptist, on 24 June.
The castle complex of the Polesini family is associated with Sveti Ivan od Šterne and the address Majkusi in Višnjan. It comprises a walled rectangular park; a Baroque stone cistern stands in its courtyard. A square tower has been preserved on the north side of the complex.

The Vena viewpoint on Sovina staza overlooks olive groves, vineyards and the sea; on clear days, mountain panoramas can be seen in the distance.

The cycling route Zvjezdana staza passes through Višnjan and its surroundings, combining nature, recreation and astronomy. It is described as a gentle, undemanding route for families and recreational cyclists. Višnjan Observatory is associated with discoveries of minor celestial bodies and astrotourism.
Staza venecijanskog lava is a 4.5-kilometre hike lasting 2.5 hours. It connects the historic centre of Višnjan with Barat and then returns to Višnjan.
