Bubani: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

The official MTB route 274 “Pedalling Along the 45th Parallel” runs through Bubani. The 18.7-kilometre, moderately difficult circular route is suitable for mountain bikes, trekking bikes and e-bikes.

Culture and History

The Dvigrad Castle and the Soardo-Bembo Palace are located in the surrounding area of Bubani. Sveti Mihovil is located near Bubani; Sveta Marija is also in the surrounding area. Sv. Martin lies next to Bubani on the hill of the same name.

The Church of Sv. Martin is a single-nave building with a bell gable for one bell. It acquired its present appearance during a restoration in 1879. The Bubanska fešta, a traditional local village festival, is associated with Bubani. At a documented edition held on 3 August, an evening of entertainment, food and drinks followed a boccia tournament.

Landscape and Surroundings

The surrounding area of Bubani also includes Škaraba, Otočić Pulari, Veštar and Otočić Revera. The Sveti Martin Hill is considered a place offering views of nearby settlements, the Adriatic and Mount Učka.

Vina Sosich is a local wine producer in Bubani. Vina Sosich lists Malvasia, Teran, Merlot, Muscat, Chardonnay and rosé Merlot.

Religious Tradition

The Križni put includes prayer stations and a rosary. During the Križni put, hot tea and biscuits were served on the meadow in front of the Church of Sv. Martin. A documented Križni put procession began in Bubani and climbed Sveti Martin Hill.
