Puntera is located on a hill above the Raša Valley. The village is bordered by the Sali stream to the north and the Kanela stream to the south. From the area around Puntera, views extend across the Raški zaljev and the mouth of the Raša River to green hills that slope down towards the sea.

Culture and Townscape
Southwest of Puntera lies the prehistoric hillfort complex of Prezenak–Oračina, dating from the Bronze and Iron Ages. The associated prehistoric settlement extended for approximately one kilometre and included a documented necropolis.
The Abbey Church of the Holy Trinity in Puntera was built in the first half of the 14th century and restored in 1867. Its central altar contains a painting of the Holy Trinity with the Virgin Mary, the Evangelist Matthew and Anthony of Padua, commissioned in 1798. The church also houses a wooden statue of God the Father in the Mercy Seat motif, which originally stood on the main altar.
The Church of the Holy Trinity has a small, recessed semicircular apse, a bell gable and a bell. A plaque with a Latin inscription is attached to its entrance door. The altarpiece names Mate Antun Stanković from Barban as its creator.
The townscape includes historic houses that stand out for their larger construction and spacious inner courtyards. Puntera also has stone tables, benches, shelters, wells and stone slabs with inscriptions that are more than 300 years old. Several finely carved houses are protected as cultural heritage.
Trails and Nature
The “Puntera – kanal Raša” hiking route leads from Puntera to the Sveta Foška pumping station at the mouth of the Raša River. The Puntera–Raša Canal trail network runs through forests and wooded landscapes.
The trail network includes several rest areas and information boards about local plant and animal species. The trails of the Puntera–Raša Canal are approximately 6 kilometres long in total; with the section to Blaz, the route extends in both directions to approximately 15–16 kilometres.
The “Tepla stran Puntera–Blaz” trail is suitable for hiking, trekking, horse riding and mountaineering. The one-way route is 7.25 kilometres long, measures 14.5 kilometres as a round trip and reaches an elevation of 450 metres above sea level.
The “Izgubljene krune kralja Tomislava” trail is suitable for cycling, horse riding and trekking. The circular route starts and ends in Puntera and is 17.5 kilometres long.
