The Muzej Turopolja is located in the former town hall of the Noble Municipality of Turopolje. The building was constructed in the mid-18th century next to the city park in the centre of Velika Gorica. The archaeological collection provides insights into the earliest history of Turopolje through finds of Pleistocene fauna, as well as tusks and teeth of woolly mammoths dating from 30,000 to 20,000 years ago.

The Velika Gorica Visitor Centre at Trg kralja Tomislava 2 is managed by the Velika Gorica Tourist Board. The Turopolje Interpretation Exhibition is continuously promoted there; the TIC can also be used for professional events and festive occasions.

The Musée d'art contemporain, a museum, is located in the vicinity of Velika Gorica. The Archaeological Museum, also a museum, is likewise nearby. The vicinity of Velika Gorica also includes Zagreb ZOO, a zoo; Fontana kralja Tomislava, a monument; Park Dugave, a park; and the Botanic Garden, a botanical garden.
