Mičevec: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

The church, customs, community work and events give Mičevec a clearly recognizable cultural profile. The Church of St. Benedict the Abbot in Mičevec was built from 2005 to 2007 and consecrated on October 15, 2016. The church and the parish house were damaged in the earthquakes of March 22 and December 29, 2020; the church was restored in 2022.

KUD Mičevec is active in literature, music, theater, dance, visual culture, museology, education, cultural tourism and documentary filmmaking. It performs around ten choreographies connected with the tradition of Turopolje, as well as around 15 children's choreographies featuring songs and dances from northwestern Croatia. The cultural program Jurjevske svečanosti is associated with KUD Mičevec. Jurjevski običaji and songs were part of the Turopoljsko Jurjevo event for decades.

The book „Etno Mičevec“, published in 2000, is also dedicated to local traditions: it describes historical customs and contains a dictionary of old local expressions.

Events

The Formula Student Alpe Adria took place in 2024 and 2025 at the Bugatti-Rimac test facility in Mičevec. The event was intended to bring together international participants as well as young engineers and innovators from around the world. Admission to Formula Student Alpe Adria in Mičevec was free for all visitors.

A concert entitled „Turopoljska glazbena šetnica“, organized by KUD Mičevec, was announced for Sunday, May 24, at 5 p.m. at Hrvatski dom Mičevec. In addition to the hosts, performances by the Folklornog ansambla Matija Gubec from Karlovac and the Pjevačkog zbora Lavanda from Novigrad were announced. Štrudlijada was organized by the Udruga žena Mičevec and took place as part of the „Turopoljska glazbena šetnica“.
