Culture and History

The Chapel of Saint Anne is located in Velika Buna. The memorial park and memorial house of the 153rd Brigade serve as museums dedicated to commemorating all fallen defenders and members of the brigade. The memorial house and memorial park are open to visitors on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Sundays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.; visits by organised groups are possible on other days by prior arrangement. The site remains closed to visitors throughout August; admission is free.

Trails and Landscape

Gudčinska Gora is a hill in the vicinity of Velika Buna. Šumarica is considered the first hiking trail in the Vukomeričke gorice. The approximately 9-kilometre-long educational trail connects the settlements of Krušak and Kozjača, includes nine educational stations with information boards in Croatian and English, and is marked in both directions. Krušak and Kozjača are connected to Velika Gorica by a regular bus service, providing public access to the Šumarica hiking trail.
