Gudci: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes
Gudci lies on the slopes of the Vukomeričke gorice hills. In addition to the settlement and its hamlet of Peršinovec, the remains of Peršin-grad are located here. Those who have chosen Gudci as their destination may want to rent a holiday apartment there.
Culture and History
Peršin-grad was built on the site of a prehistoric hillfort dating from the Late Bronze Age. The prehistoric hillfort near Peršin-grad consisted of four separate, levelled elevations; the southern one was the largest.
The bilingual local chronicle of Gudci is written in standard Croatian and the local Kajkavian dialect. It documents the origins of the settlement more than 200 years ago, its development, agriculture, livestock farming, cooking and customs, as well as life in the 20th century.
The springs of Kostanjevec once supplied the local residents with drinking water. They are marked on a map and signposted with information boards.
Nature and Landscape
Jankovka is a forest above Gudci. The Peščenjak stream is part of the surroundings of Gudci, and Gudci has its own vineyards.
Cycling
The “Šumska i cestovna ruta po Vukomeričkim goricama” route offers cycling on forest roads and forest trails and passes through Gudci, among other places. It runs along roads, gravel tracks and forest trails.
