In Kulata, a medieval church ruin lies in the schoolyard; most of its remains are buried. The site is classified as a monastery church and is known by the names St Athanasius, the Monastery, and Brestetata. The medieval church is considered the oldest representative of Bulgaria’s multi-altar churches.
