Drenovo: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

A Late Antique settlement is recorded 700 metres north of Drenovo. Two kilometres south, a Late Antique fortified site is recorded, and 800 metres northwest, a medieval church.

Culture

The medieval Church of the Holy Saviour stands about 500 metres west of Bogoroditsa on the road to Drenovo. It has been preserved as the ruins of a single-nave building with an apse.

Tourist attractions associated with the municipality of Petrich include Heraclea Sintica, Samuil's Fortress, the Vanga House, the village of Dolene, a retro car museum, local wine producers and Valtata Reservoir.

Traditional crops grown in the Petrich area include peaches, kiwis, figs and pomegranates.

Municipal road BLG3154 connects Drenovo, Yakovo and Tonsko Dabe. Municipal road BLG3182 connects Karnalovo, Drenovo and Gyurgevo. The described route reaches Drenovo from Karnalovo via a paved road.

A regional hiking route starts in Drenovo. In the Petrich and Belasitsa area, the mountain trails range from short walks to full-day hikes and include mountain huts, waterfalls and panoramic ridges.
