Water

An active permit for the balneological use of the Kromidovo mineral water source is in place until 10 November 2028. This should be distinguished from the history of the mineral spa: it was closed in 2020 and sold following a decision by the Petrich municipal council. The former Kromidovo mineral spa is a two-part building with showers, baths and plunge pools in a park on the edge of the village.

Landscape

The municipality of Petrich includes fertile agricultural land and mountainous areas with great biodiversity. Kromidovo has a small eco-campsite described as suitable for wine, nature and cultural tourism.

Wine

Orbelus is a certified organic winery in Kromidovo with a barrel-shaped production facility; visitors can see the surrounding vineyards and mountains. Wine tastings and cellar visits are offered at the Orbelus cellar, and advance reservations are possible. The winery’s vineyards are certified for organic grape cultivation. The area around Petrich has a climate favourable to agriculture and supports the cultivation of peaches, kiwis, figs, pomegranates and other heat-loving fruits.

Surroundings

In the regional context, the Petrich Historical Museum preserves archaeological, historical and ethnographic collections covering the region from antiquity to the present day. A visitor centre in Kolarovo provides information about Belasitsa Nature Park and helps visitors choose hiking routes. Belasitsa is a nature park known for its high biodiversity.

Damyanitsa railway station is located on the Sofia–Kulata line and is 12 kilometres from Melnik. The St Petka Bulgarska temple in the Petrich area is a visitor destination.
