Round Barn Golf Club at Mill Creek is also an option for active vacation days and is a traditional 18-hole golf course.

Water, Fishing, and Relaxed Breaks

Visitors can relax along the Tippecanoe River. Aubbeenaubbee Landing is a public access point on the river. Lake Manitou offers a different landscape perspective: The lake was created in 1827 by the construction of a dam and covers 775 acres. It is suitable for fishing. Lakeside Park serves as a public access point for boating and fishing.

Germany Bridge County Park is also designed for time spent by the water. Fishing is possible there; the park also has picnic areas and a restroom. These differences can be helpful when planning a vacation rental: Those who enjoy fishing or sitting by the water should look for a suitable starting point for such days, while proximity to the trails is more important for hiking and cycling tours. A convenient location near U.S. Highway 31 also provides an additional point of reference for arrival.

Experience History and Choose When to Travel

The Fulton County Museum is open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and is closed on holidays. The museum includes the Living History Village with 14 historic buildings. The Loyal Living History Village represents the period from 1900 to 1925; the Round Barn Museum is also part of the Fulton County Museum. Those interested in local development and historical ways of life can plan a museum visit as a central cultural activity.

More history comes to life at events. The annual Trail of Courage Living History Festival takes place on the third weekend of September. The Redbud Trail Rendezvous portrays the Midwest frontier in April. William Polke's trading post housed the first post office in Fulton County, which was called Chippeway. Fulton County therefore offers both regular museum hours and special dates throughout the year.
