Scheduled tours of Limberlost Cabin and the visitor center take place Wednesday through Sunday at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.

Geneva’s architectural history can also be seen in several preserved ensembles. The Geneva Downtown Commercial Historic District includes 22 contributing buildings. Architectural styles represented include Italianate, Romanesque Revival, Second Empire and commercial Italianate Vernacular. The Geneva Downtown Historic District also preserves the appearance of a commercial center from the late 19th century. Limberlost Park is home to the historic Ceylon Covered Bridge, which was built in 1879.

Other unusual details add to the cultural picture. At Muensterberg Plaza and Clock Tower in Berne stands the only Swiss cantonal tree in the United States. The Peace Monument is considered the world’s first monument dedicated exclusively to peace. The Charles Dugan Mansion was originally built in 1902. In February 1968, the Adams County Historical Society acquired the former building at 420 W. Monroe St. in Decatur at auction to use it as the society’s headquarters and a museum.
