Discovering La Pobla de Vallbona

La Pobla de Vallbona is home to La Manguilla, a protected woodland area designated in 2011 as a municipal natural area (Paraje Natural Municipal, PNM) because of its ecological, botanical, geomorphological and community-use values. The Mediterranean woodland consists of Aleppo pines (Pinus halepensis) as well as undergrowth of kermes oaks (Quercus coccifera) and mastic shrubs (Pistacia lentiscus).

Culture and history

The La Covatella archaeological complex preserves a 60-metre-long Iberian road with visibly preserved pavements. La Covatella is connected to the town centre by a combined cycle and pedestrian path.

La Casa Gran is an 18th-century building and now houses the Ethnological Museum of La Pobla de Vallbona. The house preserves its original wine cellar, mill and original olive press. The collection includes contemporary furniture from the respective period, everyday objects and agricultural equipment.
