Culture and History

The Torre Musulmana stands opposite Godelleta Church. Another of the town’s notable sights is the parish church of San Pedro Apóstol. The Godelleta Optical Telegraph Tower stands on the hill of Alto de la Torre, also known as Alto del Herrero. It was in operation in the mid-19th century and is located less than two kilometres from Godelleta’s centre. A recently restored historic washhouse adds to the townscape.

The waterway begins in Godelleta’s old town and leads into the green landscape surrounding the town. Another notable stop is Azud de la Presa in the El Gallet gorge. The IV Feria del Moscatel brings gastronomy, culture, music and commerce together in a festive setting. It is announced as an annual event in El Plantío Park.
