Cabezo del Plomo is considered one of the most important settlements from the Late Neolithic and Copper Age on the Iberian Peninsula and is designated a Site of Cultural Interest. At Cabezo del Plomo, defensive walls, circular huts and the remains of a tholos burial have been preserved.

Las Moreras is associated with the traditional Romería de Bolnuevo. It takes place every year on the Sunday after 17 November and carries the image of the Virgin of Mazarrón to Bolnuevo.

The “Sierra de las Moreras” hiking route is a moderately difficult circular trail through Mediterranean mountain landscapes. It offers panoramic views of the coast and opportunities to observe native wildlife.
