Culture
Cistérniga is also home to the Iglesia románica. Based on the surviving evidence, it is considered a late Romanesque building from the second half of the 12th century. The Iglesia románica is privately owned and is located in the Dehesa de Fuentes del Duero within the municipality of Cistérniga. Next to it, on private property in the same dehesa, stands the Torreón medieval. Its windows and flamboyant arch support its dating to the 15th century. The tower has a square floor plan; during a restoration, its battlements were replaced with a simple lean-to roof.
