The Iglesia Ntra. Sra. de la Muela is a Gothic building dating from the late 15th century. It is connected with the childhood of Leonor Izquierdo Cuevas in Monteagudo de las Vicarías; Leonor Izquierdo Cuevas lived there with her parents, Ceferino and Isabel, and her brother Sinforiano. The Ermita de Nuestra Señora de Bienvenida also has an early historical record and is documented as early as 1543. The patron-saint festivities of Monteagudo de las Vicarías in honour of the Virgen de Nuestra Señora de Bienvenida begin on 25 August.
