When choosing a holiday apartment in Cantagallo, you can compare travel dates, room or apartment categories, and cancellation policies on the listing pages. You can also organize your choice of location according to your preferred focus: circular hike, walk, cycling route, summit trail or cultural event are all different approaches to planning. For your planning, you can consider the route, direction, mode of transport and date separately.

Nature

Cantagallo has various trails and walking paths for outings and walks in nature. A moderately difficult circular hike follows the Camino de los Miliarios, the Molino del Pichón and the Tranco del Diablo and is approximately 13.57 km long. The Ruta de Cantagallo al río crosses the Cuerpo de Hombre and ends at the Roman Vía de la Plata.

The trails mentioned offer different ways of exploring Cantagallo: the circular hike connects several named stops in a longer loop, while the Ruta de Cantagallo al río links a river crossing with a historic endpoint. This means that the route, the impression of the landscape and the respective destination can already be considered separately when planning your trip.

Getting Around

In the lower part of Cantagallo, the Vía Verde follows the former railway line. From Cantagallo, you can follow the Vía Verde on foot or by bicycle towards Béjar and towards Puerto de Béjar and the province of Cáceres. The Ruta de la Plata mountain-bike trail network covers 350 km across seven routes; a branch running near Béjar leads south from Cantagallo. The different modes of transport can be distinguished according to the type of movement and the character of the route.

This means that the same thematic page presents both a former railway line and an extensive mountain-bike network. The Vía Verde is organized according to the directions mentioned, while the Ruta de la Plata, with seven routes and a total of 350 km, represents a different scale. When choosing your planned activities, you can therefore distinguish between individual routes in specific directions and a larger route network.
