Solarana: Church, Castro and Roman Traces

Solarana is home to the Iglesia de la Asunción de Nuestra Señora. It is a Late Gothic church from the end of the 15th or the early 16th century, with three naves and rib vaults. In 1992, it was recognised as a Bien de Interés Cultural (BIC).

The Castro of Solarana was a fortified settlement of the Vacceos, which may have had up to 2,000 inhabitants.
