Festivals and Local Events

The XXXIII Cultural Week and the patron saint festivals of Campillo de Aranda are celebrated in honour of Nuestra Señora de la Asunción and San Roque. The patron saint festivals traditionally include the burning of the “Ballena”.

Campillo Vital brings together producers and craftspeople from the surrounding area. The fifth edition of Campillo Vital was announced for 2026; a basket-weaving workshop was planned for that edition.

There was at least a second and a fourth edition of “Vive Campillo”; the fourth edition took place in 2026. A route offered in Campillo de Aranda as part of the “¿Te Enseño mi Pueblo?” programme is entitled “entre leyenda e Historia: de la ballena en el Condado de Siruela”.

Routes and Points of Interest

A traditional “industrial area” with a noria, a lagareta and traditional cellars is designated as a stop on the route through Campillo de Aranda. The two route references differ in their naming and thematic framework and can be read separately as cultural and trail-related themes.

Geographical Setting

The CL-603 road crosses the municipal area of Campillo de Aranda from southwest to northeast and connects the town with Aranda de Duero as well as with municipalities to the south and southwest.

The A-1 motorway along the Burgos–Madrid route borders the municipal area of Campillo de Aranda to the east and can be reached via junctions near Fuentespina and Milagros.
