Those wishing to discover Hoyocasero through its natural surroundings will come across the Pinar de Hoyocasero. Culture

The Church of San Juan Bautista in Hoyocasero has three naves, separated by flat arches resting on slender polygonal columns. Its main chapel dates from the 16th century and features a simple Mudéjar wooden ceiling. During the Paloteo dances in Hoyocasero, bagpipes and drums set the rhythm. The Romería del Cristo takes place every year on the Monday after Pentecost and leads from the Church of Hoyocasero to the Cristo Chapel. Afterwards, there is a communal meal, dancing and games. The church, Paloteo and Romería thus represent different cultural forms: architectural details, dances accompanied by music, and an annually scheduled route followed by a festival.

Landscape

The Puente de Hoyocasero is a bridge over the Alberche near the Pinar de Hoyocasero. Bridges have been built in the area since at least the 15th century. From Cerro Gallinero, the view extends across the upper Alberche basin, the Sierra de la Paramera and the Central Massif of the Sierra de Gredos. The peaks of Cabeza Redonda, Peña Aguda and Cerro del Santo are located in the surroundings of Hoyocasero; Cerro del Cabezo is a mountain there.
