On the Umia River
More than ten kilometres of riverside paths run along the Umia River in Ribadumia. Mills, washhouses and fountains accompany these paths and give the riverside sections their characteristic landmarks. There is also the PR-G 173 Ruta do Río Umia. It runs along the Umia River as a completely flat riverside hiking route from the area around Pazo de Barrantes to the historic bridge of Ponte Arnelas. The route therefore passes various points along the river and connects the riverside destinations mentioned above.
The Playa fluvial de Pontearnelas is also located on the Umia River. The Playa fluvial de Pontearnelas is a small river beach on the Umia River. The Club Náutico O Muíño is located near the Cabanelas bridge and is associated with canoeing. The riverside path, beach and canoeing-related club thus represent different aspects of the river landscape, without being the same type of destination.

Wine and festivals
Tinto Barrantes, also known as Folla Redonda, is a dark wine with a low alcohol content in Ribadumia. It has been cultivated there for more than a century. Some of the small local wineries can be visited. They combine winegrowing traditions with modern winemaking techniques.
The Festa do viño tinto do Salnés takes place in Barrantes every year on the first weekend of June. Winegrowers, residents and visitors from the region and from across Galicia come together at this festival. The fixed date on the first weekend of June distinguishes this wine festival from events without a specified annual date.
The Festa do Pan has been held in Ribadumia in August since 2001. A mill is put back into operation in the area around the Muíños do Batan in Santa Baia. Various types of bread can be tasted. For planning visits to such festivals, current event dates should be checked before travelling.
Culture
The Museo Etnografico del Vino, which is considered a museum, is located in the vicinity of Ribadumia. The Pazo de Fefiñáns palace, the Pazos dos Ulloa palace and the Pazo de Rubiáns palace are also nearby.
The Mirador de A Pastora viewpoint is also located in the vicinity of Ribadumia.
Nature
The Praia do Preguntoiro beach and Praia Canelas beach are located around Ribadumia. Mount Lobeira is also in the area.
