The Senda da Ostreira begins at the pier of Campelo in San Xoán de Poio. At the inner end of the Ría de Pontevedra runs the Litoral Lourido-Campelo coastal stretch. Tambo Island can be seen on the horizon. This coastal stretch passes close to Lourido and Cabeceira beaches. At Camiño do Castro in Campelo, there is a viewpoint overlooking the Ría.

The coastal stretch connects several clearly named local references: the pier as its starting point, the inner end of the Ría, the two beaches of Lourido and Cabeceira, and the view of Tambo Island. The viewpoint at Camiño do Castro adds another fixed point within Campelo to this sequence.
