Discover A Teixeira: Wine, Canyons and a Medieval Bridge
The Sedente de Pedrafita was found in A Teixeira. The discovery was made during construction work at the San Martiño de Pedrafita cemetery. Ponte de Lumeares is a medieval stone bridge. It crosses the Río dos Vaos and has a single pointed arch. This arch is approximately eight metres long. The structure dates from the 13th to the 14th century. From A Teixeira, Ponte de Lumeares can be reached via the OU-0607. The distance from the parking area to the bridge is less than 100 metres.

The Sedente de Pedrafita, with a specific find location in A Teixeira, represents a historical connection to the San Martiño de Pedrafita cemetery. Ponte de Lumeares reflects another form of historical heritage: its medieval construction is made of stone and spans the Río dos Vaos with just one pointed arch. Winegrowing

As a circular hike, the PR-G 224 Ruta de A Teixeira passes through landscapes with vineyards. The vineyards lie on the slopes of the Canyons of the Sil and Mao. For visitors who orient themselves by an established route designation, the PR-G 224 is therefore designated as a circular hike. The BTT - Circular da Teixeira begins in the forests of Monte da Carosa. From there, the route continues to Cristosende.
