The Cuevas de Fuentes de León were declared a natural monument in July 2001. The Monumento Natural Cuevas de Fuentes de León is of karst origin and contains speleothems such as stalactites, stalagmites, flowstone, karren, aragonite needles and siphons.

Three caves of the Monumento Natural are open to visitors: the Cueva de los Postes, the Cueva del Agua and the Cueva de Masero or Bonita. The reception and information centre of the Monumento Natural Cuevas de Fuentes de León is part of Extremadura's network of environmental facilities and resources.

Culture

Corpus Christi in Fuentes de León has held the status of a festival of regional tourist interest since 2022. The Capeas are celebrated over two days in August; during them, bullfights with young bulls take place in the Plaza de Toros.

Only one of the towers remains of the ruins of Castillo del Cuerno. One building dates from the 16th century and has been heavily altered.
