Routes and Landscapes

The Ruta de les Cabanyes de Pastor offers views of Vilallonga de Ter, the Vall de Camprodon and the Serra Cavallera, while also passing stone shepherds’ huts built using dry-stone walling. The Ruta del Canal de Tregurà i la Vall del Catllar is a 10.80 km circular route with a stated duration of 2 hours and 50 minutes; it starts and ends in Tregurà. Culture and History

The Camí de les Roquetes climbs uphill to the Drac and features metal statues that form part of a legend that can be followed along the route. El Drac offers a sound-and-light show twice a day, at midday and at night.

Inside the Central de Vilallonga are a historic telephone by L. M. Ericsson & Cia. Stockholm, a repair workshop with preserved switchgear, and a modernist turbine control panel made of marble and wood. The Central de Vilallonga is located at the exit of Vilallonga de Ter towards Setcases, on the right-hand side of the road.

The church of Sant Martí de Vilallonga de Ter, dedicated to Saint Martí, was first mentioned in 1183 and has a three-nave basilica structure, considered unusual among the buildings of the Ripollès at that time. Santa Llúcia d’Abella is a single-nave building with a pointed barrel vault. The Església de la Pietat de la Roca was the chapel of La Roca Castle and was probably built in the mid-12th century.
