The Cubas–Jorquera route is 10 kilometres long and begins at the Ermita de Cubas. It crosses the Júcar via a bridge and follows the course of an irrigation channel. Along the riverbank, it runs in the shade of poplars, walnut trees and fig trees. Another route is the Maldonado–Cubas route, which leads from the Maldonado Bridge via Cañahorro to the Cubas Bridge. The Cañahorro section passes through areas of dense vegetation.

Festivals and Local Cuisine

On 22 May, after a short Mass at dawn, the Virgen de Cubas is accompanied in a procession to her hermitage in Cubas. On the penultimate Sunday in April, she is transferred from her hermitage in Cubas to Jorquera. The Alardes de Moros y Cristianos take place in the Jorquera landscape along a route of approximately twelve kilometres. The summer festivals in Jorquera take place from 16 to 20 August; tourists play an important role in them. The traditional “rollos de San Blas” are made from bread dough and decorated with woollen threads.
