Beach and Sea

Playa de Patalavaca has black sand and is 303 metres long.

Playa de Patalavaca consists of two beaches that join to form a single beach at low tide. The sea at Playa de Patalavaca is calm, and the bathing area is marked off with buoys. This means that different features exist side by side along this stretch of coast: the dark sand colour, the change in the appearance of the beach at low tide, and the demarcation of the bathing area.

Water

At Anfi del Mar, the beach, water sports and harbour come together within a compact thematic area. Anfi del Mar beach has fine white sand and very calm water. Kayaks and pedal boats are available for hire at Anfi del Mar beach. Facilities at Anfi del Mar beach include accessibility, parking, restaurants, showers, toilets and public transport.

The Puerto de Anfi del Mar is also part of this coastal landscape. The harbour accommodates boats with a maximum length of 20 metres. At the private quay of the Puerto de Anfi del Mar, there is at least one school.

Paths

The promenade between Patalavaca and Anfi del Mar runs along the GC-500 and is 1.5 kilometres long. The renovated promenade between Patalavaca and Anfi del Mar has an urban asphalt surface. For a walk, this linear coastal path can therefore be classified differently from the ascent to Cruz de Patalavaca: the fastest route to Cruz de Patalavaca leads steeply uphill from the car park directly behind Patalavaca beach.

From Cruz de Patalavaca, the coast from Arguineguín to Anfi is visible. The promenade and viewpoint therefore offer two clearly different types of path, distinguished by length, surface, course and incline. Those who do not want to view the coast only from the beach will find here a short connection by the water and a considerably steeper ascent with a broader coastal view.

Getting There

Playa de Patalavaca can be reached by the Mogán bus route or by car via the C-812; the turn-off is at kilometre 69.
