Las Canteras is a three-kilometre-long natural beach area within the city of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. La Barra, a limestone reef more than 100,000 years old that acts as a natural breakwater, runs parallel to more than half of Las Canteras beach. It is home to a unique ecosystem with various habitats and a diverse range of endemic marine flora and fauna. Those considering different daily itineraries for a holiday apartment in Las Palmas De Gran Canaria can treat the coast, seafront promenade, volcanic landscape, history and market life as separate focal points.
