Culture

For self-guided visits, the Cenobio de Valerón is equipped with information and interpretation panels; guided visits for groups are available on request. The site can be reached via exit 20 of the GC-2 motorway from both directions, as well as via the CG-291 road.

In the historic centre of Santa María de Guía, the church has a Baroque façade and slender Neoclassical towers. The Sendero El Brezal - R1 runs through the El Brezal Rural Park and partly passes through wooded sections with plenty of shade. The route is not signposted; using a GPS device or having a good sense of direction is therefore recommended for the hike. As a short circular walk, the Sendero El Brezal - R1 has a low level of difficulty and little elevation gain.
