Holiday apartment in Santa Agnès De Corona – Karst landscape and festivals

A distinctive feature of Santa Agnès De Corona is the Pla de Corona. Geologically, it is a polje, meaning a large karst depression with an irregular outline and a flat floor. The basin has no outlet: it collects water and sediment from the streams of the surrounding hills and has no connection to the sea. Alongside the polje of Sant Mateu d'Albarca, the polje of Santa Agnès de Corona is considered one of the two most significant examples of this type of karst landform.
