History and Remembrance

On the ground floor of the Old Oven, the “La guerra en La Cerollera” exhibition space permanently presents a multimedia offering on the history of the Agrupación Guerrillera de Levante y Aragón (AGLA) in Aragón, as well as an audiovisual programme featuring statements from seven local residents. At the end of 1946, Ángel Fuertes, known as “Antonio”, the leader of Sector 17 of the Agrupación Guerrillera de Levante y Aragón (AGLA), established a headquarters in the municipality of La Cerollera and a training camp nearby. The surviving remains of the Campamento Escuela de La Cerollera reveal four huts; there may have been more. The camp comprised three areas: a kitchen; living, storage and training areas; and surveillance and observation posts.

A photographic book published by Asociación SERVA documents the traditional annual cycle of cereal cultivation—from soil preparation and sowing through harvesting and preparing the threshing floor to bringing in and threshing the grain.

The three-storey Casa Pallarés dates from the 17th or 18th century and has a preserved long wooden balcony, considered the longest in Bajo Aragón.
