Nature

Berja’s present-day church was founded in 1588 and is one of the most important pilgrimage centers in the Diocese of Almería. It is an exceptional neoclassical building with a basilica floor plan and three naves separated by large Tuscan stone columns.

From the south, Berja can be reached via the provincial roads Al-6300 and Al-5300 as well as the regional road between Adra and Berja; from the east, the regional road between El Ejido and Berja leads there. Both regional roads have direct connections to the Autovía del Mediterráneo.
