Hiking

Stahovica is a starting point for the Stahovica–St. Primus–Velika Planina route. It reaches Velika Planina via a marked trail and is considered a three-hour hike. Stahovica is also a starting point in the direction of the cable car to Velika Planina via Kamniška Bistrica. Thus, from the same village, there is both a marked trail and a connection towards the cable car to Velika Planina. When hiking, up-to-date information on trail conditions and transport times helps you plan the day realistically before departure. For connections involving a cable car, check the current operating hours before setting off.

The route begins at the bus stop in Stahovica; alternatively, the hike can begin at the car park near Calcit. The starting point for the hike to St. Primus nad Kamnikom is in Stahovica, opposite Calcit’s industrial building. This hike takes approximately one hour. The route to Velika Planina, at three hours, is considerably longer than the approximately one-hour hike to St. Primus nad Kamnikom. When hikes vary in length, the available time can be factored into the day’s planning before setting off.
